EQ Workshops
Empowerful Changes can custom-create workshops for your company or organization that can enhance group productivity, train and inspire leaders within your group, or simply increase your group members' sense of self-awareness and personal growth.
Helena has designed and delivered workshops for Top Executives, Companies and Professional and Olympic Athletes.
Each workshop is listed in order and each workshop builds upon skills learned from the previous workshop. Because increasing EQ takes practice and repetition, it takes longer than cognitive learning. It's recommended to space each workshop about a month apart to give participants time to learn new skills.
EQ Fundamentals Emotional intelligence is not an oxymoron.
This workshop is the primer for the EQ program and introduces participants to emotional intelligence and reveals how the brain plays a key role in interpreting everything we see and hear.
It's ALL About Me!
It all starts with you. Participants learn how Self-awareness leads to emotionally intelligent interactions with others. They'll also learn how their deep-down values drive how they react to the world around them, and learn how to tame the voice of the Inner Critic that keep them from achieving their best.
It's All Made Up
Next is working on managing disruptive emotions that can discredit you. This workshop focuses on decoding anger and ways to reduce stress by learning healthy brain exercises and uncovering what triggers you.
The 3 R's (Reading, Righting and 'Rithmetic)
Just like dropping a pebble into a calm lake causes ripples, so do the messages we communicate. This workshop teaches the cornerstone Social Awareness skill of empathy and the importance of reading the feelings of others and looking at the equation of your intent and impact on others.
Say What?
Managing relationships is the key to all our interactions, both at work and home. The majority of our communication is not in our words but in our tone and body language. This workshop delves into the importance of genuine listening and sending convincing messages.
Win, Lose or Brawl?
Conflict is a natural response that often occurs when people are passionate about their work and beliefs. We normally view conflict as two oppositional sides: right and wrong or good and bad. This workshop reveals another side: what's real. Uncover what's really behind conflict and discover that conflict is another form of communicating.
Diversity Dialogues
Diversity is not something that can be taught, but is something to be explored all the time. Becoming more open to differences in others is a process and takes dialogue. This workshop provides the atmosphere to talk about diversity and racism through the use of pop-culture artifacts and open discussion.
